TRS leaders meet Governor, seek enhanced security for Chandrasekhar Rao
Hyderabad: Telangana Rashtra Samithi on Thursday requested Andhra Pradesh Governor E.S.L Narasimhan that security to party president K. Chandrasekhar Rao should be enhanced, in view of threats he had received recently.
A delegation of TRS MLAs, led by the party's floor leader in Assembly E. Rajender, met the Governor in this regard on Thursday.
The TRS on Tuesday had alleged that a supari or contract has been given to eliminate its president K. Chandrasekhar Rao and demanded that the government provide him Z-plus security immediately.
Etala Rajender and Deputy Floor leader T. Harish Rao, who made this disclosure, had said that they had brought the threat to the notice of Intelligence Additional DG but no action has been taken so far.
