Two days after Delhi blast probe still to come out with specific leads
Investigators probing Wednesday's bomb blast outside the Delhi High Court are yet to come out with any specific leads two days after the tragedy that has so far claimed 13 lives and injured over 70 others.
A day after two emails confounded officials, there are now reports of a third one in circulation.
The second email, from Indian Mujahideen has sparked an unprecendented manhunt hunt to track the top 10 operatives of the terror group, Deccan Chronicle has learnt.
The IM men on the run are Ariz, alias Junaid, Bada Sajid, Mirza Shadab Baig, Mohammed Khalid, Dr Shahnawaz, Amanullah Akhtar, Riaz and Iqbal Bhatkal, Amir Raza Khan and Shahrukh alias Yasin. Some of these names also cropped up during the Mumbai serial blasts in July.
Highly-placed sources in the National Investigation Agency claimed there was a strong possibility that some of these missing IM fugitives could be linked to the Wednesday bombing. Five people have so far been detained in connection with the blast: four in Kishtwar in Jammu and one in Balrampur, UP.
The Home Ministry has now asked states to beef up security at high courts and 21 courts across the country will receive safety gadgets and increased number of personnel.
A thorough security review should be initiated by the states to check for possible loopholes, they said.
Meanwhile, the third email reportedly warns of attacks in Gujarat and the state has been put on high alert.
