Two Kanpur teachers booked for molesting students

Two teachers were arrested for allegedly molesting their students in separate incidents at Shyamnagar and Naubasta areas, the police said on Tuesday.

A physical education teacher at a private school in Shyamnagar was accused of molesting a twelfth standard student at the pretext of conducting practical classes, they said.

Sanjay Chaurasia was arrested on Monday after the girl's family lodged a complaint against him, the police said.

In Naubasta area, a tutor, identified as Rajesh Singh, allegedly molested a class five student at her residence here.

Mr Singh alleged that she had not paid the tution fee due for three months and levelled false allegations when he demanded his dues, the police said.
