Uddhav: Resignation not enough
Shiv Sena executive president Uddhav Thackeray on Tuesday demanded action against all the persons involved in the Adarsh society scam. The Sena leader said that taking action against Ashok Chavan was not enough as he was not the only one involved in the scam. He also said that role of former Union minister Suresh Prabhu of the Shiv Sena should also be investigated by the Central Bureau of Investigation.
Mr Thackeray said, “Mr Chavan’s resignation is not the end of the matter. We demand that strict action should be taken against every person involved in the scam, including politicians, bureaucrats and defence officers,” he said.
When pointed out that Mr Prabhu, who was a minister in the Atal Behari Vajpayee government, also owns a flat in the controversial society, Mr Thackeray said, “We will not shield anyone who may be involved in the scam...”
