U.K. advisory against j&k travel lifted
Britain on Tuesday partially changed its travel advisory on Jammu and Kashmir, deciding to allow Britons visit Srinagar and Jammu after “overall decline in violence in the state”.
The UK foreign office, in the modified advisory on its website, said: “We no longer advise against travel to Jammu and Srinagar, nor against travel on the Jammu to Srinagar highway.”
This is just before British foreign secretary William Hague’s visit to India.
Till now, UK citizens had been advised against all travel to J&K, except to Ladakh.
