Ultimatum by 3 Cong MPs

Three Congress MPs from Telangana region on Sunday said they would not hesitate to quit if the party leadership does not take a decision on statehood issue by May 30.
The MPs, M. Jagannath, G. Vivek and S. Rajaiah, met here on Sunday and discussed the issue.
Talking to reporters, Mr Jagannath said they would not hesitate to quit the party if no favourable decision came by May 30.
“We want to make it clear to Congress high command that if no decision came on Telangana issue by May 30, our action plan will be towards taking a tough decision. We would not even hesitate to quit the party,” he said.
Though they had set such deadlines earlier too, Rajaiah said this would be the final one.
The MPs condemned the comments of AICC spokesman P.C. Chacko on Saturday that Telangana does not form a part of the national agenda of the UPA and it concerns the state government.
The Telangana Congress MPs have been in the forefront of the statehood agitation. They held a sit-in the premises of the Parliament during the recently-concluded session.

One day later, chacko says issue on agenda
New Delhi, May 19: Insisting that the Telangana problem is very much on the UPA’s national agenda, Congress leader P.C. Chacko on Sunday said the party is aware of the sentiments of the people from that region and a decision will be taken as soon as the ongoing consultation process is over.
In a statement, Chacko said his comments on Telangana at a press conference on Saturday were misunderstood and misconstrued as if the issue is not a part of the UPA’s agenda.
“Telangana is very much part of the UPA agenda and a decision on this issue will be taken at the appropriate time.”
“The Congress party is aware of the sentiments of the people of Telangana and a decision will be taken as soon as the consultation process is over,” Mr Chacko clarified in the statement.
Explaining his comments, Mr Chacko said he had been listing the various milestones and reforms introduced by the UPA in accordance to its manifesto when, in reply to a question on Telangana, he had said that it is not part of the manifesto.

I want to begin with a little story that was told to me by a leading executive at Aptech. He was exercising in a gym with a lot of younger people.
