The agriculture minister, Mr Y.S. Vivekananda Reddy, and his wife Ms Sowbhagyamma, paid a short visit to his nephew, Mr Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy on Thursday. Speaking to newspersons Mr Vivekananda Reddy said that whatever the political developments, their family relations would continue as before. He added that there were no differences between him and Mr Jagan Mohan Reddy.

An ugly scene unfortunately marred the incident when four persons, allegedly fans of Mr Jagan Mohan Reddy, barred the minister’s car as he was leaving and started raising slogans like “Jagan Mohan Reddy Zindabad”, and also demanded that Mr Vivekananda Reddy should resign. After waiting for a few minutes, Mr Vivekananda Reddy lost patience and got down from his car and in a fit of rage, used some harsh words at the persons who were obstructing his way.
The minister, who is known to be a soft-spoken individual with a cool temperament, gesticulated at them by twirling and twisting his moustache repeatedly. Leaders nearby intervened and cleared the way for Mr Vivekananda Reddy. In a separate incident, the former MLA, Mr Ambati Rambabu. told newspersons on Thursday that Mr Jagan Mohan Reddy would announce the formation of a new regional party soon.

No Jagan hand in AP rebellion, feels Cong
New Delhi/Hyderabad, Dec. 2: The Congress on Thursday saw no hand of Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy in the rebellion in newly constituted Andhra Pradesh ministry over the allocation of portfolios and expressed confidence that it will soon be over.
“It’s not some kind of a Jagan plot. It could be a bargain tactic to take advantage of the tough situation,” a senior party leader, who declined to be identified, said. Union minister M. Veerappa Moily, talking to the media separately, dismissed talks of crisis in state.
“There is no crisis” he said. The allocation of portfolios to the newly-sworn in ministers in the state has triggered a rebellion against Andhra Pradesh chief minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy.

I want to begin with a little story that was told to me by a leading executive at Aptech. He was exercising in a gym with a lot of younger people.

Shekhar Kapur’s Bandit Queen didn’t make the cut. Neither did Shaji Karun’s Piravi, which bagged 31 international awards.
