UPA most corrupt ever: BJP
Leader of the Opposition in the Rajya Sabha Arun Jaitley on Sunday described the Congress-led UPA government at the Centre as the most corrupt ever and said it is a travesty of circumstances that on the one hand the CBI is quizzing the DMK leaders and on the other the Union home minister is engaged in deliberations with the DMK for sharing of seats.
Mr Jaitley was addressing the concluding session of the two-day Madhya Pradesh BJP executive committee meeting here. He said there are clear signals that the Left Front will be ousted in West Bengal and Kerala and there will also be a decline in the Congress Party’s support base in the present round of Assembly elections.
The BJP leader said that the credibility of politics is now on a decline and in the prevailing circumstances it is the responsibility of the BJP workers to strive towards restoring people’s faith in politics.
Mr Jaitley said that the country’s security is very important for the BJP and his party is not ready to compromise even an iota on the security front. Those who encourage terrorism are even more dangerous than human bombs, he said, adding terrorism cannot be accepted in any form.
Mr Jaitley was all praise for the leadership of chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan. He has not only brought the BJP back to power in the state for the second consecutive term, but has also ensured its repeated success in polls.
This has amply been reflected in the just concluded Assembly byelections and recent municipal elections in the state, he added.
