UPA is totally paralysed: LK

Senior Bharatiya Janata Party leader L.K. Advani on Saturday said that the Manmohan Singh-led UPA government at the Centre is completely paralysed and is the most corrupt since Independence.

Mr Advani was addressing a press conference in Jabalpur. He took a dig at the Prime Minister’s call for a re-look at the Right to Information Act and said the UPA government has been taking credit for the RTI till now. Why this sudden turnaround and talk of a debate on right to information, he asked.
Mr Advani said that there have been two major events linked with UPA-2. At one point of time, the Union finance minister had sought a probe into an attempt to spy on his office but the issue was swept under the carpet. And now there is a talk of a re-look at the RTI.
Mr Advani said that the objective of his yatra is to raise the issue of corruption and build pressure for bringing back all the black money stashed abroad. This money can be utilised in providing amenities to six lakh villages, he said.
