Uttar Pradesh cop mastermind in love killing

Lucknow: In a shocking development, the Uttar Pradesh police has found that police inspector and encounter specialist, Sanjay Rai, masterminded the killing of a 14-year-old boy merely because he wanted to implicate one Aqmal who was getting uncomfortably close to his lady love.
Maaz, 14, was shot dead in his house on May 29. Police said that the shooters were sent to the girl’s house with the instruction to kill any member of her family. Maaz became their target because he opened the door to the assailants. The boy had been staying with the girl’s family and pursuing his studies in Lucknow.
The inspector’s domestic help, Ram Babu confessed that Sanjay Rai was in an extramarital relationship with the girl since the last three years but lately she had shifted her affections to Aqmal, a taxi driver. Ram Babu was aware of the conspiracy and has been arrested by the police.
“Since the girl’s family did not approve of her relationship with Aqmal, Rai thought that if any member of the girl’s family was harmed then the first suspect would be Aqmal,” police said adding that the encounter specialist had even tried to frame Aqmal by tipping off his colleagues about the girl’s relationship with the taxi driver.
