At war in Parliament, MPs unite for car rally
After bringing two Houses of Parliament to virtually a standstill since November 10, MPs are currently busy in the preparation of a car rally to be held on December 5 being organised by the Constitution Club of India. They might be fighting inside Parliament, but outside their roles change.
After realising that the current Winter Session of Parliament will continue to be defunct till December 13, with adjournments without legislative debates on day-to-day basis, the MPs decided to organise a car rally for a change. The Congress MPs might not be taking the daily allowance on the “no work, no pay” line, but they are not against the proposed car rally atleast as of now.
The organisers are confident that not only the freshers but even seniors could enjoy the car rally which is an attempt to develop sporting spirit among the lawmakers.
The main organisers might be stalling Parliament proceedings as per the stand of their respective parties but outside they are ultra active.
Meanwhile, the declaration in the entry form for participants says: “I/ We agree to save harmless and keep indemnified the government of India, the respective state governments, the organisers, the sponsors, the FIA, the FMSCI, their officials, agents, representatives, employees and all persons assisting them in this event and all owners and tenants of private property used by this event, from and against all actions, claims, costs, expenses and demands in respect of death or injury to myself or any other person or persons or loss or damages to any property.”
