Where is Rahul factor: BJP

A jubilant BJP, after the landslide victory of the JD(U)-BJP combine in the Bihar Assembly polls, on Wednesday minced no words in attacking the Congress and AICC general secretary Rahul Gandhi. The party claimed Bihar wholeheartedly voted for the NDA and the development works initiated by the NDA government in the state.
The party said that while the Congress top brass travelled far and wide in the state for campaigning and talked of corruption in Bihar, the voters ultimately rejected them.
Senior BJP leader and chief spokesperson of the party, Mr Ravishankar Prasad, said, “Rahul Gandhi used to go to Bihar as a youth icon. Why did he fail despite an aggressive campaign by him and Sonia?”
Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha Sushma Swaraj dismissed the Congress’s high-profile campaign in the Bihar polls. “Where is the magic that the Congress talked about?” she asked.
The party claimed that the Bihar Assembly polls results have shown that its only the development issues undertaken by the Nitish Kumar-led government that got the votes.
“Where is the Rahul Gandhi factor?” asked BJP national general secretary and party’s Bihar in-charge Ananth Kumar. “The people of Bihar have shown that no factor except Nitish Kumar works,” he added. He claimed in all the BJP- and NDA-ruled states, development is the main agenda.
Mr Kumar said the “Rahul factor” did not work in Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Gujarat and completely failed in Bihar. “In Bihar the factors that matter are good administration and development, Atal Behari Vajpayee, NDA, JD(U0, Nitish and Sushil Modi,” he said.

I want to begin with a little story that was told to me by a leading executive at Aptech. He was exercising in a gym with a lot of younger people.

Shekhar Kapur’s Bandit Queen didn’t make the cut. Neither did Shaji Karun’s Piravi, which bagged 31 international awards.
