Woman arrested for kidnapping father

A woman was on Monday arrested on charges of kidnapping her father in Mussoorie area of the district, police said.

She was produced before a court, which sent her to 14 days in judicial custody along with her two children, as they had no caretaker.

Nazma married a man of her choice against the wishes of her father in 2009, police said.

Later, her father, Anwar, went missing in April same year. Doubting role of Nazma and her husband, Anwar's brother registered a complaint against them.

"Anwar's wife also favoured her daughter's relationship and she was also arrested the same year and is out on bail," a senior police official said.

While Anwar is still missing, her daughter was arrested today, he said. Nazma's husband is absconding.
