Woman fatally hit by BJP MLA's vehicle

A woman on Wednesday fatally hit by the BJP MLA Aman Kumar's four-wheeler near Mirza village on the State Highway (SH)-23 in Bihar's Bhagalpur district, police said.

Tara Devi (45), wife of one Babulal Tanti and native of Satho village, was knocked down by a jeep in which the BJP MLA was travelling on way to an Independence Day function in Pirpaiti assembly constituency.

The woman, who sustained grievous injury, succumbed to injuries on way to a hospital.

The driver was arrested and the vehicle impounded.
