Woman’s headless body found cut into 8 parts
The headless, semi-nude body of a young woman was found stuffed in a plastic sack and dumped on the roadside near Inderlok Metro station in north Delhi Saturday morning.
The victim was wearing only a green printed kurta. “The body was cut into eight parts; there were three tattoos on her right hand. ‘PJ’ was tattooed on her right wrist, while ‘OM’ and ‘SR’ were tattooed on the back of her right palm. We haven’t found the victim’s head anywhere,” a senior police official said.
The sack with the body was apparently dumped near the Metro station on Friday night. The police said the sack was covered with a blanket. The autopsy report is awaited to determine if she was sexually assaulted before being murdered.
While the police claimed the plastic sack was found by a patrol team at 11.30 am, locals claim it was first spotted by a ragpicker.
The police suspects the woman was murdered somewhere else and her body dumped near the Inderlok park.
