Youngsters set for flash mob on Republic Day

A group of over 700 youngsters is set to carry out a flash mob at a mall in Ghaziabad on the occasion of the Republic Day.

The activity will be organised at the Shipra Mall in association with youth associated with The Art of Living foundation. In between 1 p.m. to 2 p.m., the youngsters will participate in the flash mob and groove to patriotic songs.

"Our initiative of organising India's largest flash mob on the occasion of Republic Day is an effort to involve youth and prompt the spirit of patriotism across our fellow Indians," Manik Dhodi, vice president (retail and hotels), Shipra Group, said in a statement.

"I hope we receive huge participation and the event is a success," he added.

Flash mobs have become a popular tool for marketing ever since they started in Mumbai in November last year. Movie makers have also taken a liking to it, and conducted the activity in various cities of late.
