Youth gets 7-year imprisonment in minor rape case

A local court has sentenced a youth to seven years of imprisonment for kidnap and rape of a minor girl.

Additional District Judge Lallu Singh also imposed a fine of Rs 5,000 on 28-year-old Satish on Saturday. According to the prosecution, the 14-year-old girl was kidnapped by the youth from Gigora village in Bhongaon area on February 15, 2010 while she was playing outside her house.

The victim was taken to various places and was raped for a month before being left near Esan river in Mainpuri city.
