Youth held for rape attempt

Jaipur: A youth was arrested for allegedly attempting to rape a woman who was sleeping inside her house in Rajasthan's Dausa district, police said today.

The incident took place late last night in a hamlet near Bandikui town where the woman, whose husband works as a labourer in Gurgaon, was sleeping in her house with her minor child, they said.

The accused broke open the doors and allegedly tried to rape the woman. On hearing her cries, locals gathered and came to her rescue, the police said, adding, the accused has been arrested.
