Yukta Mookhey files FIR against husband

Former Miss World and actress Yukta Mookhey filed an FIR against her husband Prince Tuli on Thursday night for alleged domestic violence at the Amboli police station in Jogeshwari. No arrest has been made so far.
Senior police inspector Prabhakar Medhe of Amboli police station confirmed the development on Friday but refused to elaborate further. According to the Amboli police, Ms Mookhey, in her statement, has alleged that she had often been beaten and troubled by her husband. An FIR has been registered under IPC Section 498A (cruelty and harassment).
Mr Tuli is a New York-based businessman and also a financial consultant. The actor’s medical examination was done on Thursday. Ms Mookhey had also approached the Amboli police in the past following, which a non-cognisable complaint was registered against Mr Tuli.
An official from the Amboli police requesting anonymity said, “The police does not have the authority to arrest in non-cognisable cases. The victim has to approach the court for further action in such cases. She did not want to register a FIR back then.”
