‘No threat’ schizophrenic kills brother

London, Jan. 17: Just hours after he was declared a “no threat”, a paranoid schizophrenic stabbed his young brother to death, a Daily Mail report said.

Daniel Taylor, 21, stabbed Jack, 9, at their sister’s house in Bradford, West Yorkshire, in February last year.

On Monday, a judge ordered that Taylor be detained indefinitely at the top-security Rampton Special Hospital in Nottinghamshire. Taylor admitted to manslaughter due to diminished responsibility at an earlier hearing. He sat in the dock on Monday surrounded by guards and carers and showed no emotion when the court was told about the attack on his brother.
