‘Obama is 15th best US Prez’
Barack Obama has been ranked as the 15th best US President, just below Bill Clinton but ahead of Ronald Reagan, in a new poll of leading presidential scholars.
The Siena College poll, which surveyed 238 presidential scholars at US colleges and universities, rated Mr Obama two places below Mr Clinton, who was 13th best, and three better than Reagan, who is ranked as the 18th best.
Franklin D. Roosevelt again earned the top spot, as he has every time since the poll was first conducted in 1982. —IANS

UK vote on electoral reform 2011
London, July 2: Britain will hold a referendum in May 2011 on its biggest electoral reform in decades in a vote that will test its coalition administration, a government source said on Friday. Voting reform was one of the biggest stumbling blocks in creating Britain’s first coalition government in 65 years after an inconclusive election in May ended 13 years of Labour rule.
Conservative Prime Minister David Cameron had long opposed any reform, but said after the election he would compromise to form a stable government, despite opposition within his party. —Reuters
