‘Silvio got a lap dance on Brazil visit’
Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi was treated to a private lap dance in his hotel during an official visit to Brazil early this week, according to media reports.
The 73-year-old leader, who survived a series of allegations of sexual impropriety in 2009, was reported to have enjoyed a 12-minute dance while staying at the luxury Hotel Tivoli during his official visit to Sao Paolo.
The Italian media has cited reports from a Brazilian website which published an account of the evening from a 28-year-old pole dancer called Alexandra Valenca. Valenca said she was paid around 2,000 Brazilian reals for the show which was reportedly scheduled after an intense day of official engagements including a meeting between Mr Berlusconi and Brazilian President Lula da Silva.
Valenca told the media she had been booked for “an Italian businessman.” She was reportedly one of six dancers who performed in the billionaire politician’s luxury hotel suite.
“We were hired and told that it was a proposal to make a TV show for Italy,” she reportedly said. “We were told that he wanted to see some dancing.”
Mr Berlusconi’s office denied the reports and said the Prime Minister, his entourage and several security staff attended an event given by a local businessman on that particular night.
“On that occasion there was a brief traditional Brazilian folklore show in which took part Brazilian artists,” Mr Berlusconi’s office said in a statement.
