23 illegal Indians held in UK
Twenty-three Indians, all illegal immigrants have been arrested in one of the biggest operation by Britain’s immigration officials conducted in west London and the east England town of Norwich.
Twenty-two Indian men were part of a group of migrants arrested following an enforcement swoop on a dairy in Acton, West London, while another Indian whose application for asylum was refused, was arrested along with three Sri Lankans, in Norwich.
The UK Border Agency will now take steps to remove them from the UK.
The men were arrested for a variety of immigration offences, including illegal entry, working in breach of their visa conditions, and overstaying their visas.

Indian falls to death in Abu Dhabi
Dubai : An Indian man, hailing from Hyderabad, fell to his death from the 12th floor of his office building in the UAE capital Abu Dhabi but it is unclear if this was a case of suicide.
The victim Prasad worked as an office boy at a private firm in the Emirati city and fell to his death from the building on Monday, the police was told by eye-witnesses.
According to a co-worker, Prasad served coffee to everyone in the office just before they heard a thud, only to find out later that he had plunged to his death. It is unclear whether it was a suicide and the police said it is investigating the case.
The deceased is survived by his wife and three children in India. The incident came close on the heels of another case of an apparent suicide by an Indian in the UAE. —PTI
