4 Britons held for questioning
London, july 14: Four Britons have been arrested by the West Midlands police as part of investigation into the murder in India of Rashtriya Sikh Sangat leader, Rulda Singh, who had died a fortnight after being shot outside his home in Patiala in July last year.
Rulda Singh, 66, had been shot at his shop-cum-flat at the Grain Market, Patiala, in Punjab on July 28, 2009.
Two men in Punjab have already been charged in connection with the killing last year, the police said.
The four men, aged between 27 and 36, have been released on conditional bail pending further investigations, the police said on Wednesday. The police had arrested two men in Coventry and two men in Smethwick and Wolverhampton on Tuesday. The West Midlands police said the investigation was being handled by the counter-terrorism unit as the case had potential links to Sikh extremism.
