The police in northwest Pakistan apprehended five foreign militants wanted by security forces for subversive activities, officials said on Tuesday.
District police chief Abdur Rashid Khan said the militants, who were arrested in Hangu district of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa province, were wanted for alleged involvement in bomb attacks in Thall sub-division.
An expert in bomb-making and the suspected mastermind of several blasts is among the arrested militants, he said. The police seized a large quantity of explosives and equipment used in bomb-making from the arrested men.
