70% Chinese men dissatisfied with their sexual lives: survey
About 70 per cent of Chinese men are dissatisfied with their sex lives weighed down by long-term work pressures and mental stress, according to a survey.
About 67 per cent of the interviewees have sex two to five times per month, while only 3 per cent do it less than once a month, said the survey done by Chinese Medical Development Research Council.
"However, quality remains depressingly low," the official Global Times reported on Tuesday.
When asked to comment on their sexual activities in the past month, 36 per cent showed dissatisfaction, while 40 per cent enjoyed satisfactory sex occasionally. Only 0.5 per cent were satisfied totally, it said.
Over 14 per cent of those surveyed reported that they struggle with sexual malfunction or psychosexual disorders. A survey by Durex last year showed only 24 per cent of Chinese men and women said they can often climax against the global average is 48 per cent.
Employment was considered the source of the highest pressure on men, largely leading to the decline of their sex lives.
