Bear saves California man from mountain lion

Just when you thought this was an ordinary day here's the unusual tale of 69-year-old Californian Robert Biggs.

During a walk in the woods of north-central California earlier this week, Biggs was saved by a bear during a mountain lion attack.

Biggs claims the bear fought off the cat and the battle of the beasts lasted about 15 seconds. The mountain lion then fled the scene, visibly surprised.

The bear then walked off, leaving Biggs alone.

Biggs told ParadisePost.com that he was taking photographs of the bear when the lion attacked.
