If you want to begin a new year on a high note, try and befriend Russian oligarch Roman Abramovich.

The Chelsea football club owner spent five million pounds and threw, what is being touted as the best New Year’s bash, in the Caribbean Island of St Barts.

The highlight of the bash of course was a performance by the Black Eyed Peas. Everyone from Salma Hayek, Ashton Kutcher, Demi Moor, British lingerie model Rosie Huntington-Whiteley to Star Wars director George Lucas were invited.

Abramovich and his girlfriend Dasha Zhukova also had 250 other friends to hang out with them in style.

Guests were also treated to a good night’s sleep on yachts chartered by the hosts.
