‘Bin Laden’s body was flown to U.S. for cremation at secret location rather than buried at sea’
Leaked e-mails from an intelligence analysis firm have suggested that former Al Qaeda chief Osama Bin Laden’s dead body was actually sent to the United States for cremation.
According to e-mails, Bin Laden’s body was transported to the U.S. for cremation after he was killed in a Navy Seals raid in an Abbottabad compound on May 2.
The revelation is in contrast to an earlier Obama administration statement that his body was buried at sea, off the USS Carl Vinson, in accordance with Islamic tradition.
The emails were allegedly obtained by the hacker group, Anonymous, from Stratfor, an organisation dealing with analysis of intelligence and geopolitical analysis.
Anonymous had earlier announced that it had gained access to 2.7 million of the firm’s confidential correspondences, and added they could provide ‘the smoking gun for a number of crimes’.
Stratfor vice president for intelligence, Fred Burton, said he doubted the official White House version regarding the fate of bin Laden’s body.
He claimed that Bin Laden’s body was ''bound for Dover, [Delaware] on [a] CIA plane'' and ''onward to the Armed Forces Institute of Pathology in Bethesda [Maryland]''.
The claims will likely spark off conspiracy, especially since the Armed Forces Institute of Pathology that Burton refers to closed its doors on September 15, 2011.
“If body dumped at sea, which I doubt, the touch is very Adolph Eichman like. The Tribe did the same thing with the Nazi's ashes. Eichmann was seen alive for many months on trial before being sentenced to death and executed. No one wanted a monument to him so they cremated him,” The Daily Mail quoted Burton, as saying, in an email.
Emails purportedly leaked from the intelligence analysis firm Stratfor make mention of a Nazi lieutenant and a major figure of World War II, Adolph Eichmann.
He was caught by U.S. forces, but escaped custody and fled to Italy after the end of World War in 1945.
