Californian state highway slips into the ocean

A highway in California state has reportedly slipped into the ocean following landslides caused by heavy weekend rain in the region.

The Paseo del Mar road in an area of Los Angeles was under the scanner for several months, with authorities fearing an imminent collapse.

Fortunately, due to an alert put in place by the Mayor's office, there was no loss of life or property.
