Cops seek secret bank accounts
London, Sept. 4: The investigation against Pakistan cricketers Salman Butt, Mohammad Asif and Mohammad Amir continued on Saturday, but they were not being questioned by the Scotland Yard.
The three were questioned, one after another, at Metropolitan police station in Kilburn, north London, on Friday. However, they have not been charged by the police as yet.
The Met police did not release any details of the three players’ questioning, but British newspapers revealed that they had been questioned about their phone and text message records, bank accounts and money trail from British businessman Mazhar Majeed. The trio were released after interrogation, said their lawyer, Ms Elizabeth Robertson.
