Dating site man ‘tricks woman into sex’

Melbourne: A man allegedly contacted a Perth woman via the Internet and tricked her into having sex with him.

Police say that on October 13, the 27-year-old woman met the man, who was pretending to be a woman, on an Internet dating site, reports News.com.au.

He supposedly passed on the details of a man to the victim so that she could meet him.

The victim contacted the man, who was actually the offender, and agreed to have sex with him for money, which was never received.

Police searched the man's house and seized several electronic devices containing images of women with whom he had had sex.

Police believe the women were not aware they were being recorded.

Sex Assault Squad officers charged the 27-year-old man from Innaloo, in Perth's north, with sexual penetration obtaining consent by deceit.

He will appear in the Perth Magistrates Court today.
