Defeated Kenyan PM files suit challenging election results

Kenya’s outgoing Prime Minister Raila Odinga, who was narrowly defeated in presidential polls by Uhuru Kenyatta, on Saturday filed a petition challenging the election result, an AFP photographer said.

Officials from Odinga’s Coalition for Reform and Democracy (CORD) filed the suit at the Supreme Court after Odinga reaffirmed to journalists that he would abide by the decision of the court and urged Kenyatta to do likewise.
