Dog gets 10,000 pound cosmetic surgery!
A pet in Britain has been given a facelift with a cosmetic surgery worth 10,000 pounds ($15,856) for treating his excess skin over eyes and face.
Jowly dog Junior, who bears a striking resemblance to cartoon dog Droopy, has been transformed after having his second operation in two years. The five-year-old pet has had a facelift as excess skin was hanging over his eyes and face, the Sun reported.
Surgeons removed folds of skin to enable him to see better.
Junior's owners -- Denise and David Smart -- from Selby town in north Yorkshire, said they had no reservations about their dog having surgery.
Denise said: "It's taken years off him and he does look like a young man again.
"Before the operation he was fed up and looked like a grumpy old man. Now he's more mobile and he's got a new lease of life."
After having two benign tumours removed from his chest, the skin on Junior's belly had begun to droop and became infected. He was taken to the vet at the start of the year and has since had the operations and 39 stitches to give him a taut belly.
Junior's facelift cost 1,200 pounds, while the tummy tuck cost 1,500 pounds. Further surgery and vet bills come to 6,000 pounds while medication tops 1,000 pounds.
