Earthquake hits Hindukush, sends tremors across North India

An earthquake measuring 5.8 on Richer Scale hit the Hindukush mountain range in Afghanistan, sending tremors across north India on Thursday evening.

Television reports suggest tremors were felt in Srinagar, Poonch, Jaipur, Chandigarh, Delhi and the National Capital Region (NCR).

Strong tremors were also reported from all major cities in Pakistan, including Islamabad.

No casualties have been reported.
