England midfielder and Chelsea player Frank Lampard’s uncle has been revealed as a paedophile.

Paul Lamb, who is 36, urged a 13-year-old girl to engage in sexual activity over the Internet, reports Dailymail. Lamb landed himself in trouble as the ‘teenager’ on the Web was an undercover police officer posing as a young girl called 'Jessica'.

Lamb is married to 61-year-old Gwen, the sister of Lampard's father Frank. He was later arrested by police at his home in Bacup, Lancashire, and his computer was seized.

Hearing the news, the footballer, who is father to two girls, said he was disgusted by it.

A UK Court heard how ‘isolated’ Lamb got himself engaged in a dirty conversation with the 'child' last November.

When Lamb came to knew 'Jessica' was only 13, he replied: 'Wow. You're young.'

He then tried to find out if she was under observation of her parents on the Internet and the two went on to have a sexual conversation on MSN Messenger.

When questioned by police, he denied all the allegations and said he was using a chatroom which was strictly for adults. But when the conversation was revealed, he admitted three charges of attempting to cause child to engage in sexual activity.

Court sentenced him to 12 months in jail. He is also banned from accessing Internet.
