George Zimmerman freed after posting bail: US media
Neighborhood watch volunteer George Zimmerman was released early on Monday after posting $150,000 bond after authorities charged him with second-degree murder for shooting unarmed black teen Trayvon Martin, US media reported.
The release from a Florida county jail came after a Florida judge presiding over the case heard arguments during a bail hearing on Friday.
Television networks showed Zimmerman dressed in jeans and a brown jacket walking out of the jail in Sanford, Florida, accompanied by an unidentified man.
Neither of the two made any statements. Images showed the men walking toward a car and then driving away to an unknown destination.
