Unidentified gunmen opened fire in a street near an Ahmedi mosque in this eastern Pakistani city, creating panic among people though there were no casualties, police said on friday.
The incident occurred near the Ahmedi mosque at the market in Gunj Mughalpura area late last night, officials said. They said there was no evidence that the target was the mosque. senior police officers visited the site and further tightened security in the area.
