Indian national arrested in northwest Pakistan
An Indian national was arrested today in Bannu district of northwest Pakistan, officials said.
The man, identified as Colin Raj, was held by the police of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province for entering Bannu without valid travel documents.
He was taken to an undisclosed location for interrogation, officials said. Bannu district borders the volatile North and South Waziristan tribal regions.
Indian nationals, including diplomats, are rarely granted permission by Pakistani authorities to visit Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa.
