Kids seek ‘sugar daddies and mommies’ to pay college fee in return for sex

Broke students seeking new ways to put themselves through college are finding success in a new website, which helps them find older men or women who are willing to fund them in exchange for a sexual relationship.

Men and women, young and old, are turning to certain websites to look for something sweet in their lives.

People who join this site are usually seeking a special sort of 'arrangement', whether you are a broke, young and willing sugar baby or a rich, older generous mommy or daddy.

Many students are turning to the site to look for older men who are willing to fund them through college in exchange for a sexual relationship.

CBS spoke to a student, who did not want to be identified, who is a member of the site and asks for 10,000-20,000 dollars a month.

The 22-year-old from Miami said she is looking for someone who will never say ‘no’ to her needs.

“The lesson here… ask and you shall receive,” the Daily Mail quoted her as saying.

“They have given me cars, trips, jewellery. These guys will take you out and they will court you. They support you financially. My dreams came true after my parents stopped supporting me when I was 18."

“They have money they want to help you. They see you struggling, They want to help you. Whether or not it is an arrangement it is still a relationship,” she said.

She said her 'sugar daddy' pays for her tuition fees, books and everything else. In return he asks for sex.

The website calls it a 'Mutually Beneficial Relationship'. There are just over one million users of the site and sugar babies outnumber sugar daddies twenty to one.

Seeking Arrangement began in 2006 and founder Brandon Lee insists it is not a type of prostitution service.

He said it is an escort service, with the terms of the relationship left up to the two consenting adult users and that all exchanges are closely monitored.

“We do not allow escorts or prostitutes to use the website. That is what I call a one or two-hour arrangement. It is not what this is about,” Lee said.

“To make sure that terms such as hourly rate, in call, out call and terms like that aren’t used, we highlight them and catch them,” he said.

The ‘How it Works’ tab on the site describes it’s functioning in detail.

“There are many men and women who want to find a Sugar Daddy, Mommy or Sugar Baby. But they do not know where to start,” the website said.

“Because of how our society works, it is awkward for someone to walk up to another to ask them if they would like to get involved in a Mutually Beneficial Relationship."

“That is where SeekingArrangement.com comes in,” it added.
