Kuwaiti wives get tougher, partying husbands beware

If you think Kuwait is a place where you can party hard by cheating on your wife and yet escape; think again, for her prying eyes might just catch you!

Men in Kuwait who are found to be unfaithful to their wives are highly likely to be thrown out of wedlock as women are increasingly watching over them.
More than 30 Kuwaiti women have filed for divorce after they discovered that their husbands cheated on them and spent the New Year’s Eve in Lebanon, according to a local report here. What made the matters worse was that they had set out from Kuwait claiming they were to perform Umrah pilgrimage in Mecca, Saudi Arabia.
“Many husbands cause the end of their marriages by cheating and lying to their wives,” Kuwaiti lawyer Abdullah Al Shibani said. “At the beginning of this year, 33 Kuwaiti women contacted me to file for divorce after they discovered that their husbands who said that they were on a spiritual trip to Mecca to perform Umrah in Saudi Arabia went in fact to Lebanon to celebrate New Year’s Eve,” the lawyer said.
