At least 31 dead from killer germ outbreak: Germany
A killer E. coli bacteria outbreak has claimed another fatality in Germany, regional authorities said on Friday, bringing the death toll to 31.
The latest reported victim was a 75-year-old woman in the northern state of Lower Saxony, its health ministry said.
It brought the total number of dead to 31, all in Germany except for one woman who died in Sweden after visiting Germany.
German authorities on Friday identified vegetable sprouts as the source of the outbreak, lifting a warning against eating raw tomatoes, cucumbers and lettuce.
