‘Nice a**’ – Strauss-Kahn''s last words to air hostess moments before arrest
Former IMF chief and rape suspect Dominique Strauss-Kahn made a sexist remark to an airhostess seconds before he was pulled off the plane and arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting a hotel chambermaid, it has been claimed.
"What a nice ass!" he said to the stewardess, using the lewd French expression ‘Quel beau cul!’.
According to the French magazine Le Point, the remark was made ‘loudly and openly’ and overheard by other passengers in first class, reports the Daily Mail.
Moments later, the New York Port Authority detectives boarded the Air France flight to Paris and removed the former finance chief from the plane.
‘The comment was clearly inappropriate, but all the more so bearing in mind what happened to Mr Strauss-Kahn just a few moments afterwards,’ Le Point continued.
His alleged victim, a 32-year-old West African immigrant who cannot be named for legal reasons, has gone into hiding after investigators for Strauss-Kahn’s legal team allegedly approved a ‘smear’ campaign.
Investigators have reportedly been told that, as the 62-year-old was being shown to his suite last Friday night, he asked the VIP receptionist escorting him to join him for a drink.
The next day he is said to have asked another receptionist, who had originally checked him in, to share a bottle of Dom Perignon champagne with him.
Strauss-Kahn, who resigned from his position last week, is currently out on 6-million-dollar bail after he was charged with sexually assaulting a chambermaid.
