Norway to go without official religion hereafter: Reports
Norway's Parliament will amend the constitution so that the state no longer has an official religion and as a result of this it will distance itself from the Christian past.
According to reports a Parliamentary committee report presented on Tuesday contains a unanimous recommendation to have the state permanently separate from the church.
The government will no longer have a minister of church and the state will no longer be responsible for the appointment of Bishops and Deans.
And Norway will treat all religion and philosophies equally.
