Osama’s son divorces second wife
Omar bin Laden, son of Al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden, has divorced his second wife Zaina Al Sabah, over the issue of a surrogate child.
According to a news report, Omar said he has disagreements with her on many points and, most importantly, does not want a surrogate child. He wished the best for Zaina Al Sabah but can no longer be married to her. Omar told Gulf News from Qatar that he will remain on good terms with his ex-wife Zaina Al Sabah, but due to the disagreements, life as a married couple has proved to be impossible.

Islamabad, July 3: The ruling Pakistan People’s Party is set to mark July 5 as Black Day — the day when the government of the most popular leader Zulfikar Ali Bhutto was toppled by dictator General Zia-ul Haq in 1977, reports our Pakistan correspondent.
The leadership and workers of the PPP as well as democracy-loving people, every year observe July 5 as Black Day to pay homage to Bhutto and commemorate his services to the country, democracy and the poor masses.

12 killed in S. Korea bus mishap
Seoul, July 3: A bus fell off an elevated road as it was heading to South Korea’s main airport, killing 12 passengers and injuring another 12, the police said on Saturday.
Police official Kang Bong-soo said the bus struck a guardrail as it was trying to avoid a broken-down car and fell about 30 feet from the road near a bridge on Saturday afternoon in Incheon, west of Seoul. He said the bus was carrying 24 people, and the driver and a 52-year-old Mongolian man are among the injured. —AP

Helicopter crashes off HK, all safe
Beijing, July 3: Thirteen persons onboard a helicopter escaped with minor injuries after the copter crashed in the sea between the Hong Kong Island and the Kowloon Peninsula.
The Hong Kong police said all the injured have been rescued and rushed to nearby Queen Mary Hospital. The 13 persons included 11 passengers and two crew members. Local po-lice craft and firefighting boats have been sent to the site to rescue them, Xinhua quoted officials as saying.

Indian falls from 4th floor in Dubai, dies
Dubai, July 3: An Indian worker died and three others suffered serious injuries after a scaffolding on which they were standing fell from the fourth floor of a under construction building in Sharjah.
The incident happened on Thursday within days of another mishap in Sharjah (on June 23) which killed four workers, three of them Indians. The workers were carrying out exterior work in the building when the ropes holding the scaffolding snapped. —PTI
