Oslo's gunman badge came from Varanasi
Norwegian mass killer Anders Behring Brevik, who killed 76 people in Oslo, had procured a badge depicting a dagger piercing a skull from an artisan in Varanasi.
Weaver Aslam Ansari, from whose company the badge was ordered, is hurt that the badge was used by the person involved in the mass killings.
"I did not expect that a badge which I made will be used by a terrorist," he said.
"As my company makes badges and we advertise on the internet and various search engines have details and email address of mine, I got an order from Anders Behring Brevik for a badge," Aslam Ansari of Indian Arts Company said here.
Berivik demanded a badge with a dagger piercing the skull for his uniform and I sent him two samples through courier on March 3, 2010, for USD 150 through Western Union money transfer, Aslam said.
A resident of Pathani Tol, Aslam, said that Bereivik had sent him a picture of dagger and a skull, which he used while preparing the badge adding that he was assured of more orders of special badges from Norway.
Aslam's father A L Ansari said that weaving is their family profession and the badges have been used even by astronauts.
At least 85 people died in a shooting at a youth Labour Party meeting on Utoya island on July 22.
