Pak plane aborts take-off after bird hit
A Pakistani airliner with 421 passengers on board aborted take-off from the airport in the southern city of Karachi on Friday after a bird hit one of its engines, an official spokesman said.
The incident occurred when Pakistan International Airlines flight PK-302 to Lahore was taxing down the runway, a spokesman for the airline said.
The plane was scheduled to take off at 8 am.
“The plane was about to take off when the incident occurred and it aborted the take off,” the spokesman said.
All passengers on board were safe and technical staff were checking the damaged engine, he said.
