A Pakistani woman clubbed to death her 12-year-old servant for not serving a meal to her dog in Lahore.

Sadia Asif, a resident of Valencia Town, beat Taqi Usman to death after he failed to serve food to her pet.

She had asked Usman to feed the dog before going to market a few days ago, an investigator said. She was arrested last night after Usman's relatives filed a complaint with police.

The investigating officer produced Asif before Magistrate Ashfaq Ahmad and sought her remand to complete the investigation. She has been remanded to police custody for three days.

The investigator said Asif was infuriated when she returned home and found the dog hungry.

"She locked Usman in a room and severely tortured and beat him," the investigator added.

After the boy's death, Asif disappeared.
