Pervez risked sovereignty, says Bugti
Islamabad, Oct. 10: Oct. 10: The son of Baloch nationalist leader Nawab Akbar Bugti, who was killed during Mr Pervez Musharraf’s regime, Mr Talal Bugti, said, “(Mr Musharraf) is also wajib-ul-qatl for killing innocent people in Balochistan. The government allowed him to leave the country.”
“Mr Musharraf is involved in heinous crimes against the state and society such as dismissing an elected government and dissolving Parliament, killing Akbar Bugti along with 70 others and killing hundreds of people in the Lal Masjid operation. These crimes are unpardonable,” Mr Bugti said at a news conference in Quetta.
Mr Bugti also condemned Mr Musharraf’s allegation that his father was a traitor and claimed the former president had strengthened case against him by acknowledging his links in the killing of Nawab Akbar Bugti.
He said that Mr Musharraf posed a security threat and had undermined the sovereignty and integrity of Pakistan.
“If he is really brave, he should return to Pakistan immediately and face the criminal charges against him. Mr Musharraf is a coward and would never return to Pakistan knowing the ground realities,” he added.
Mr Bugti demanded from the government to send Mr Musharraf’s name to the Interpol to bring him back to the country “otherwise he (Mr Musharraf) will further disclose state secrets to his masters that might further weaken sovereignty.”
