Rough weather forces Russian Navy ships to seek shelter off Scotland

Battleships from a Russian Navy task force, headed for Syria, have sought shelter off the Scottish coast due to stormy weather.

The group includes an aircraft carrier and several support ships.

Russia's Navy released a statement which admitted its ships were seeking shelter due to bad weather.

According to the BBC, British naval ships were 'shadowing' the vessels.
